【Croatia】Sibenik UNESCO World Heritage site and the Game of Thrones Iron Bank film scene
Sibenik is about an hour and a half’s drive from Zadar with two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Fortress of St. Michael (Tvrđava sv. Mihovila) and the Fortress of St. Nicholas (Tvrđave sv. Nikole), as well as the St. James Cathedral (Katedrala sv. Jakova). The city itself is full of a charming medieval atmosphere and even served as a location for Braavos in Game of Thrones.
However, based on my study, the show’s scenes were only filmed in the square and surrounding areas of St. James Cathedral.
