Planning the trip

How to get start

The recommended way to explore Croatia is to start from either the north or south and travel along the coastline to fully appreciate the beautiful scenery without getting bored. It’s suggested to spend around two to three days in each city and avoid staying in one place for too short, so that you can enjoy a more relaxed journey.

Our trip plan

Our trip focuses solely on the coastal region and does not include any inland areas, like Zagreb, just like in the phicure below.

【Croatia】10 Days 9 Nights Power Game Pilgrimage to Scenic Lakes, Seascapes, and Island Resorts. All-Inclusive Package with Detailed Itinerary Planning.

Planning your trip

You can start by flying to Zadar or Sibenik, visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park, and then follow the coastline to Split, the island of Brac, and finally to Dubrovnik, where you can depart by plane.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is located awkwardly in the middle of Croatia.
If you have enough time, it’s recommended to start your journey from Zagreb and work your way down.
Alternatively, you can also take a detour from Pula or Rijeka to get there, or start from Zadar like us.

Transportation

Between Cities

Transportation between coastal cities is recommended by self-driving, as the railway along the Croatian coast is not so well developed,
and most of the attractions near the coast do not use trains as transportation, only buses.

If you choose to use public transportation, you should plan for extra travel time.

Within Cities

Most cities are not large, and most attractions within the cities can be reached on foot.

In Dubrovnik, the city’s attractions are a bit far from each other, so taking a bus is necessary.

Reminder

There is a piece of land belonging to Bosnia and Herzegovina between Dubrovnik and mainland Croatia.
Because it is not a member of the EU, border clearance is required, and you will need to present a travel visa.
You can check with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more information.
