【Portugal】Crabs, oysters, shrimp, clams, and snails – Baía do Peixe offers all-you-can-eat seafood and fish for just euro 50! Such a great deal
A long time ago, there was a controversy about eating seafood, which sounded exaggerated, but the author is also someone who doesn’t eat seafood in Taiwan.
Because I feel it’s dirty and messy. Moreover, their long-term dietary habits are more Westernized.
It wasn’t until they came to Portugal and were recommended by colleagues and friends from Taiwan that they finally tried seafood! And once I tried it, there was no turning back. This post highly recommends a Portuguese seafood restaurant. Since I moved to Portugal, I always take my friends to eat there.
Reason
- Many options
- Beautiful scene
- All-you-can -eat
- Affordable price
About meals
They offer two all-you-can-eat options:
- Fish all-you-can-eat: seafood soup (cannot be refilled), salad, three types of grilled fish, and grilled squid.
- Seafood all-you-can-eat: boiled crabs, raw oysters, boiled shrimp, seasoned shrimp (hot dish), seasoned clams (hot dish), boiled sea snails, and if lucky, you can also get gooseneck barnacles.
If you have a small appetite, you can also order specific dishes or platters a la carte.
In Portugal, there is no time limit for dining, as it is not focused on high table turnover rates. The main profit comes from beverages, and I strongly recommend ordering a pitcher of white Sangria fruit wine to pair with the seafood. It’s different from what you can get at the market or regular restaurants.
Important informations
Advance reservation is recommended. Being 15 minutes late without prior notice will result in giving up the reserved table and the need to join the queue again.
There are different branch locations, but I highly recommend the Cascais main branch as it offers the freshest seafood and also has a beautiful sea view. o(≧v≦)o
The average cost per person is around 40 euros, and bread and water are not complimentary, so please take note of that. You can choose not to order them and return them to the waiter.
